Rollgum’s EPDM pond liner is extremely easy to work with, making it adaptable to any pond size or shape, regardless of the complexity. The high elasticity of the membrane makes the rubber liner easy to stretch and bend while remaining tough and durable. The liner is also easy to cut and join together using Rollgum bonding adhesive, tape and sealants.

Unlike many other EPDM liners, Rollgum doesn’t require you to scrub off powdery mica with a scouring pad before joining. Thanks to Rollgum’s modern, mica-free manufacturing process, it’s cleaner for the environment and far easier to install. You can simply apply the primer with a paintbrush — no heavy scrubbing or extra prep required. This not only saves time but also reduces the risk of weak joins caused by incomplete cleaning, making installation smoother and more reliable. Plus, you won’t get white floating mica in your dam, the moment you start filling it with water.

About Rollgum
Rollgum’s founder, Joan Palou, was a chemist living in Díaz, Spain. In 1971, he set up a company which specialised in manufacturing waterproof membranes—aka EPDM. Early in his entrepreneurial journey, Joan Palou met Michel De Knop, the Managing Director of Firestone’s European operations. This led to a thriving alliance and the installation of the world’s first EPDM liner in a series of Spanish reservoirs in the 1970s. What is EPDM pond liner?
EPDM pond liner is made of tough synthetic rubber that looks great in the wild and holds its shape and feel for a lifetime. Unlike plastic liners that bubble, ridge and deteriorate over time, EPDM liner provides a smooth, natural-ish look that doesn’t fade or lose quality, even after decades of exposure to the harsh Aussie sun.
EPDM liner is made of rubber meaning, unlike plastic, it doesn’t leach nasty chemicals into your water or surrounding environment. It also isn’t attacked by microbial organisms, a common occurrence in plastic which deteriorates the liner. This makes EPDM pond liners the most ideal choice for recreational ponds, fish ponds, swimming ponds, any water bodies used by people or animals.
